My Tuffet

Why oh Why am I doing nothing but sitting on my tuffet! Reading blogs all day,not just today but for three days in a row! I'm having a Minni vacation because I only have one little guy this week. I had such wonderful plans of all the things I would get done this week....like unpacking the last of my boxes that are crammed in Sarah's room or organize the office and closets. Oh and best of all to go roller blading with the little guy everyday,OK so I tried that Mon. it is way harder then it looks! Did you know that? I thought if I tried pushing a stroller it would help balance me, I was all I'm so smart this is going to be great! Well guess what, I forgot we have a slowped drive way ! Yikes, OK I say to myself I'll just go straight down and go across street no prob! Ha problem a car turned on street right when I was sailing down drive way, oh no how do I stop ! I start thinking snow plow like when your skiing ummm that is not how you stop! Oh noooooooo try turning stroller so we don't go in street its stuck ! Crash bang boom! I'm skidding on ground holding tightly to stroller so he doesn't go flying into street. Awe we are saved as my body is spread across side walk and car is driving by slowly staring. I sit laughing cuz its all I can do because I feel like the biggest dork in the whole wide world. We keep on truckin I'm so not going to give up! We get down the block and what do you know it starts to rain! I'm so happy because I think I might die if I had to go any further because I'm huffing and puffing like I just ran a marathon not just going down the block. So after we make it home I with bloody knee from the great fall and thinking I shall die because I cant catch my breath. I now sit and sit on my tuffet and wish and dream of being creative, talented as everyone I read about on their blog.

My Six Guys and my One little Miss

Everyone always says I don't know how you do it! When talking about me running a daycare.I SO love my little guys and little miss! Yes it can be very stressful at times for sure! They also are so fascinating, funny, and have the best imaginations ever! Yes I do want to scream at the top of my lungs sometimes, but also they make me laugh much much more. Just some random funny things they say. He says " I'm pooping" I say lets go on the potty like a BIG BOY! He says " No I'm a small boy "
One brings a toy airplane from home He says " My peeka ( his aunt that he calls peeka cuz she always played peeka boo with him) got me this at the washing machine for cars" ( Car Wash)
another little guy I say oh you should tell your mom that! He says " No my Daddy ! My Mommy is sleeping" ( His Mommy just had his baby brother so Daddy brings him in the mornings while Mommy is still sleeping. So I guess he thinks in his mind she is sleeping all day! I'm sure she wished that was true!
Another ,He says " Take my shirt off over my noggin my head ! Points at his head my noggin.
or Miss Risa I love you infinity! When they point at green and call it Hulk or at yellow and call it bumble bee! Scream when the timer beeps dinners ready! Even if its because its on for a time out. I could go on and on!
In March I got the new baby brother, I forgot how hard baby's are! WOW! Thank goodness my favorite guy of all has been home to help me! That would be Ted, the little gang love him so much they follow him every where! If it wasn't for him I really don't know how I would have survived the new addition to my day! What are we going to do when he starts his new job?

I think we will all be walking around for a bit not knowing what to do. So I just want to say thank you to Ted for all you do! Thank you to my five little guys and my one little miss for making my days full of fun and adventure. I can never say I have a boring day!
I love ya all! Miss Risa

HOME ,Where your story begins

I grew up in the same house tell I was eighteen until I got married. Growing up I always thought how awesome it would be if we could move and go somewhere new exciting and different! Then I got married yeah I get to do something new exciting and different! We went on our honeymoon and I got homesick! Ha ! I missed my home and my family so much. Then when Jordan and Mason where 18months we packed up and moved to Tucson yeah an exciting and different change! Not even a week into living there I called my Mom and Dad and said can I please come stay with you for awhile , missed them again ! Ha! Through out my young years in Tucson I think I went back to visit more then I stayed home. We finally bought our first home only to live in it for two years then we were going to sell. We stayed in that cozy home for eleven years, Lindsey joined our family in this home. Then we moved to my dreammmmm HOME! I so loved this home! I so loved my happy family in our happy house. Sometime happy turns into something else and family gets broken. Even thou things were not the same we kept going in our happy dream home, until momma started trying way to hard to keep this home when it was only Lindsey and momma living in it. Everything I earned went into keeping this dreammmmm HOME, it wasn't so dreamy anymore! So I made a long ,sad, hard but good decision to give it up. Such weight lifted off my shoulders. During all this time I met a wonderful man who makes me so happy! So for a new Chapter in my story of homes we are living in this fixer upper in the ghetto hows that for something different and exciting? Let me tell you its been a year in this little house in the ghetto with lots and lots of new fun adventures!

We have gutted it and are slowly making it our cozy new home with new story's to build!

The before pictures are taken when a bunch of 19 & 21 yr olds lived here yikes very scary stuff! BEFORE

Bring on March!

February was not so fun! Starting with Lindsey bruising her foot and not being able to go to school for two day! Not a fun thing I tell you, she is not a good patient. I get her back to school and that very day when I'm feeling oh so happy, Ted comes home with yucky yucky news. The company he works for called them all in for a meeting at 3:00 pm to say they are shutting their doors everyone lost their jobs! Such nice people to know this and still have them work the whole week with some overtime I might add! (he didn't get paid for that weeki Imight add!!!)Yucky yucky! So we brave that and keep on trucking saying all will get better we just know it! Then the next weekend Lindsey breaks her toe! what the heck I say!? Another day without going to school! Yucky yucky!!!! Then she starts getting better and wouldn't ya know it, Ted falls into a pond (very funny story I might add : ) ) and hurts his foot and is just being able to walk normal. So I am oh so hoping that March will bring us much happiness and good things!

Ihave always loved words. Remember when in school you would take your name or a word and make other words out of the letters? I loved doing that and still do. One of my favorite gifts to make are little books with words to describe each person. Everyone loves to hear or read something about them right? I know I do! : )

Something else I absolutely LOVE are letters. You could say obsessed with them. In my scrap booking supplies I have all kinds of letters, chip board, metal, stickers, stamps in all shapes and colors I love font!

They make me sooooo happy!
I think its because my dad was a sign painter. I loved to watch him work. He would get out his blue grease pencil laying it out first, then he would get out the paint and brush to complete his sign. He made it look so easy and beautiful! I can still smell the paint. I was always amazed at is work. ( I love you dad and miss you! )
So of course this new craze of having signs , words or letters for home decor was a must for my home. Love it!
My latest obsession is letters and words that I decoupage. Once I get started making one I can't stop until it is complete. I'm totally obsessed and hooked!

What is your obsession?
